  TRAVEL BY CAR
The Omni William Penn is easily accessed by car using Interstates 76 or 79.

FROM PITTSBURGH INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT – 30 MINUTES/19 MILES
Follow the signs to Pittsburgh via I-279 North (Fort/Pitt Bridge and Tunnel). Go through the tunnel. Take the Liberty Avenue Exit (straight off the bridge). Proceed approximately 3 blocks and turn right on Sixth Avenue. At the third intersection, turn right onto William Penn Place. The hotel is located on the left.

FROM THE NORTH — VIA I-79 SOUTH
Take I-79S to I-279S. Proceed on I-279S to I-579S (Veteran's Bridge). From I-579S take the Sixth Avenue/Exit (Mellon Arena), bear right on Sixth Avenue and cross Grant Street. Go one block and turn left on William Penn Place to the hotel's main entrance on the left.

FROM THE SOUTH & WEST — VIA I-79 NORTH
From I-79N, follow the signs to I-376 East to Pittsburgh. Follow I-376E to Pittsburgh (Fort/Pitt Tunnel.) Go through the tunnel. Take the Liberty Avenue Exit (straight off the bridge). Continue for approximately 3 blocks. Turn right on Sixth Avenue. At the third intersection, turn right onto William Penn Place. The hotel is located on the left.

FROM THE EAST — VIA I-76W & I-376W
Take I-76 (Pennsylvania Turnpike) and exit on to I-376W towards Pittsburgh. Take the Grant Street Exit (on the left) to Grant Street. Follow Grant Street 6 blocks to Sixth Avenue and then turn left onto Sixth Avenue. Immediately turn left onto William Penn Place to the hotel's main entrance.

  TRAVEL BY LIGHT RAIL & TRAIN
Adjacent to the hotel is the “T” or Pittsburgh Metro System (links all points of downtown Pittsburgh and Station Square). The metro is free in the downtown area and stops include:
Steel Plaza at One Mellon Center (hotel station)
Gateway Center
Wood Street
Station Square – located across the river (entertainment complex, restaurants and shopping)

Free Fare T Zone
Within Downtown Pittsburgh, Port Authority operates a free-fare T zone. The zone includes the following stations: First Avenue Station, Steel Plaza, Wood Street Station and Gateway; North Side Station and Allegheny Station.

Amtrak, the nation’s publicly funded railroad service, provides inter-city passenger rail service.  Two routes – the Pennsylvanian and the Capitol Limited – service the Pittsburgh area at Downtown’s Amtrak Station. Click here for Amtrak information and schedules. Each route provides one trip a day in each direction.  The Pennsylvanian, a part of the state-managed Keystone service, connects Pittsburgh and New York City.  The Capitol Limited, a part of Amtrak’s long route system, connects Washington and Chicago with a stop in Pittsburgh. Consult www.amtrak.com for schedules and information.



GETTING AROUND TOWN
There are many ways to start your Pittsburgh adventure, and Pittsburgh International Airport is pleased to provide this comprehensive list of approved limousine, taxi, shuttle and charter bus services to help deliver you to and from our door. The linked list of Allegheny County Airport Authority-permitted operators are available to transport passengers to and from Pittsburgh International Airport.

Port Authority of Allegheny County also is pleased to offer service to Pittsburgh International Airport via the West Busway (28X Airport Flyer). The route runs to and from Pittsburgh International Airport, Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland approximately every 30 minutes. Pickup outside of Door 6, Baggage Claim.

Customers paying cash will be charged $2.75 at the farebox. ConnectCards can be purchased in Baggage Claim, next to Door 6, where the 28X bus picks up passengers to Downtown Pittsburgh. The fare is $3.75 between Oakland, Downtown Pittsburgh, Robinson Town Centre and Pittsburgh International Airport. The fare is $2.50 between the West Busway, Downtown Pittsburgh and Oakland.
