Charlotte Information

Charlotte ’26

We are gathering in Charlotte this month. More specifically in Uptown, also called Center City.  The area is the central business district of Charlotte. The area is split into four wards by the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets, and bordered by Interstate 277 and Interstate 77.

EXPLORE UPTOWN

Uptown is home to serene parks, world-class arts attractions, exciting pro-sports venues and rows of restaurants. Named for the elevated geographical positioning of the district’s center at the intersection of Trade and Tryon Streets, Uptown has historically been Charlotte’s hub for commerce, dating back to the trade routes of the Catawba tribe. Today, Uptown’s footprint is continuously expanding, beckoning businesses from across the globe while supplying space for local purveyors to set up shop.

Uptown is also about being Outdoor & Adventure

A love of nature is fostered in the heart of the city and encompasses a wide variety of family-friendly activities. Exploring Uptown via the Skyline Trail is easy when you rent a scooter, with stations conveniently located throughout the city.

Nothing beats the unparalleled views from Romare Bearden Park, overlooking the grandiose city skyscrapers while rose-lined pathways pave the way for pursuing Uptown sites. The lawn of Fourth Ward Park is fit for a charming picnic by the water fountain, running through the splash pad or engaging with the hands-on art-and-science installations.
